I don’t usually work with pink and red together. But after seeing this color palette, I’m starting to reconsider. It’s another gorgeous combination inspired by floral arrangements and it’s totally stealing my heart at the moment. The photo was taken by a talented wedding photographer named Sarah Kate. She did such a great job of capturing the color and beauty in this arrangement. Don’t you think?
Let’s take a closer look at what makes this look so great. For starters, the red flowers pair beautifully with the mint green in the foliage. There’s even a slight touch of sage green in there that adds a pleasing sense of depth. Then, in come the tiny bits of light pink from the delicate flowers in the arrangement. I’ve always loved the red and green combo, especially when a light blush pink is used.
This whole combination is set against a warm white background which makes each color pop and placing the arrangement in clear glass vases makes sure your eye goes straight to the flowers. I just love it!
To replicate this color palette, simply start with a warm white base. Then add burgundy, dark red, faded red, light pink, sage green, mint green, and ivory in proportions matching the inspiration photo in the palette. I think this would make a beautiful color scheme for a home interior.
Do you like pink and red together? What ways would you incorporate these two colors into your home? Tell me in the comments below, I would love to hear your ideas!
