I have a confession to make. I’m a chocolate addict. It’s been a problem of mine since I was a kid and I’m certain it’s never going to go away. So, you can image what today’s color trend does to my heart (and salivary glands). It’s a dark, creamy chocolate brown called ‘French Press’ and it’s a yummy part of the Benjamin Moore Color Trends 2016. I found a bunch of great design ideas using this striking brown that I just had to share with you. Here are some things you could try…

Add a warm accent color to a white kitchen with dark cabinets using chocolate brown counter stools. I love the full-height window wall on the left.

‘French Press’ also works beautifully as an accent color in an all-white kitchen. Such a classy look!

Combine ‘French Press’ with white marble in your bathroom for a refreshing, modern look

Or, accent an ultra-modern white kitchen with this yummy brown shade. I like how the light flooring choice works with this combo.

A neutral gray wall color is a great background to show off a ‘French Press’ colored sofa.

Wood furniture pieces are perfect for adding a little ‘French Press’ into your design. Keep the look contemporary with shiny, metal accents.

Combine ‘French Press’ with pinks, black and white prints, and a purplish-gray wall paint for a gorgeous girl’s bedroom design. A sheepskin rug provides just the right amount of cozy softness to the look.

Now, this look is for the hard-core brown lovers. Go with a chocolate brown wall paint along with brown furnishings and accent pieces. Add just small amounts of other colors to keep it interesting.
