PANTONE MARINA

Today’s color trend has me longing for the beach. It’s a brilliant shade of blue called ‘Marina’ and it’s part of the Pantone Fashion Color Report for Fall 2017. I’m in love! This color could be described in many ways. French blue, sky blue, marine blue, electric blue, bright blue and denim blue. It even looks a lot like some shades of Santorini blue. It’s a very cheerful color that works especially well for coastal or beach style interiors. Let’s take a look at some great design ideas featuring this gorgeous color trend.

This interior color palette is gorgeous! The ‘Marina’ blue front door really makes a statement in this cottage style design. Oh, and those wall sconces! Perfect.

This bright blue color pairs nicely with wood tones. Here’s a mid-century modern style space taking advantage of ‘Marina’ blues soothing charm…

This would be a fantastic color for a spring wedding, don’t you think? Just look at these beautiful ‘Marina’ toned dresses and the bouquets are just gorgeous!

Now we’re talking. The simplicity of dark wood floors, white walls and ‘Marina’ blue accents. I love this look!

‘Marina’ blue and white. You just can’t go wrong. I especially like the checked pattern of the pillows and the floral pattern of the lamp in this lovely bedroom design…

Try adding this color trend to your interior with a brilliant blue colored wall painting. Something with a touch of bright red and maybe a little yellow would get you a look something like this. Just wonderful!

This color just looks awesome as a floral print with white. These bridesmaid’s robes are another fine example of that…

For a bolder, more saturated look, go with ‘Marina’ blue on your walls. Pair it with a neutral tan floor and add some colorful accent pieces and you’re set!

Just a tiny bit of this exciting shade of blue is all you need to liven up a room. Add it to a pale gray room with white trim for a relaxing evening retreat.

This color trend plays nice with the beautiful blues of an ocean view. If you’re lucky enough to have one, that is. Isn’t this rug gorgeous?

This wedding must have been beautiful. I love the brilliant blue of the bridesmaid’s dresses against the white of the wedding dress. Throw in the greens and browns of the landscaping and the scene is just perfect!

Sometimes you can enjoy this refreshing color trend without adding a touch of it to your interior. I love how the designer takes maximum advantage of the sea view by keeping this interior a neutral white. I’m in love!
