It always amazes me how the right shade of gray can make a design so darn pretty. I mean, gray is about as neutral and bland as you can get right? So, how can it literally transform a space from a dull room to a showpiece? One particular shade of gray that really catches my eye is Pantone’s Neutral Gray. It’s part of their Fall Fashion Color Report for 2017. So, expect to see more of it in the months to come. I’m looking forward to seeing all the creative ways designers work this hue into their interiors and fashion pieces. But, for now, let’s check out some inspiring ideas from around the web featuring this unassuming color trend.
I love the retro look of this bathroom design with the swing arm wall sconces and the wall-mounted vanity sink. Neutral Gray pairs well with white in this classic design.
This traditional home office design makes use of Neutral Gray as a backdrop wall color to show off all the accent pieces in the room. I especially like how the designer painted the door and trim the same gray color as the walls to make it less noticeable.
If you prefer to wear this color trend, try pairing faded gray cropped jeans with a black tank top and brown jacket.
I cannot begin to express how much I love this look! It’s incredible how an industrial style concrete interior can be so soft and pretty. Thumbs up for this one!
Sometimes, a room just wants to be simple. In these cases, gray walls with crisp white linens will do the trick.
Lace-up Neutral Gray suede heels look beautiful against the tan skin of summer.
White brick. Neutral Gray linen bedding. Reclaimed wood accents. What more does a bedroom need?
For a rustic look, pair reclaimed wood with weathered gray metals. Add some off-white linens, brown glass bottles and rusted mesh pieces for accent.
If you want to show off your summer tan, a Neutral Gray tank top is the way to go.
Corrugated metal is a fun way to add this neutral color trend to your bathroom design. Use the panels for your shower walls and add reclaimed wood for a rustic look.
The simple combination of white with Neutral Gray is just gorgeous. Sometimes the simple statements are the best.
What a pretty country look! The gray and white checked fabrics, woven baskets and vintage door are all awesome.
This color trend is perfect for casual everyday looks like this Henley Tee with blue jeans.
I have a soft spot for industrial styles. Especially when they have a bold pop a color like with this mint green and black combo. So nice!
This is a great look. I love how the designer painted the floating shelves the same color as the walls so that the art is the focal point.
