I just love the cross between a white farmhouse interior and modern design. There’s just something about the crisp, white walls and the rustic wood floors. But, adding in modern pieces and natural accents to the mix makes the look that much better.
This home office design is the perfect example of this. It’s an uncluttered look. Which is one of the reasons I love it so much. But, it also has just the right amount of details to keep things interesting. The black modern chairs contrast nicely with the slate blue medallion rug. Then, a fringed pillow and indoor plants soften the look. A little bling with the brass and gold pieces is a great finishing touch to the room.
These are the pieces I used to create the White Farmhouse mood board above…
Of course, I wanted to include a more complete mood board with paint palette for this look. A key component to the design are the green indoor plants. It’s such an easy thing to add to a room but makes such a huge impact. An industrial style desk would be perfect for this room. But, it’s the details that really bring the space to life. Focus on brass and black accents in lighting and decor pieces. And, add in some natural texture with woven baskets. I have to say, my favorite part of this room is the blush peach upholstery on the desk chair. Love it!
