Yesterday, we looked at the Metals & Blues color palette with that gorgeous navy and white combo that I love. Today, I want to take a closer look at the materials and furnishings that make up this look. The designer used the navy blue accent in the cabinets and window shade which contrasts well against the pale gray tile back splash. White cabinets blend softly with the pale gray. For a touch of warmth, taupe blonde wood flooring is used. Light metal counter stools contrast nicely against the navy blue. Then, tiny amounts of accent are added in copper, stainless steel, lemon yellow and gold as well as glass. All these elements come together to create a lovely kitchen design. One that might even inspire me to spend some time cooking. Not an easy thing to do!
These are the pieces I used to create the ‘Metals & Blues’ mood board…
1.Carrara Subway Tile | 2. Brushed Oak Flooring | 3. Striped Cobalt Fabric | 4. Symphony Blue Paint | 5. Factory Pendant | 6. Mercury Glass Urn | 7. Copper Canisters | 8. Metal Bar Stool
For my Pinterest fans, I had to put together a nice long mood board complete with paint palette.
1.Factory Pendant | 2. Carrara Subway Tile | 3. Striped Cobalt Fabric | 4. Brushed Oak Flooring | 5. Symphony Blue Paint | 6. Cutting Board | 7. Glass Bowl – Lemons | 8. Wide Gas Range | 9. Metal Bar Stool | 10. Copper Canisters | 11. Mercury Glass Urn
The ‘Metals & Blues’ paint palette is so pretty. I can picture this combo being used in other living spaces as well.
A key component of this look is the current Navy Peony color trend. I love how it looks combined with the white and metals of this look. Are you a fan of the white and navy blue color combo? Tell me your thoughts in the comments section below.

So do I Mike. I have dark cabinets and this kitchen has me thinking about painting them white!
