a feminine style interior
Living Room by Elsie Larson of A Beautiful Mess

Blush pink is such a popular color right now. But, how do you work this girlie color into your home in a fresh, on-trend way? Well, the key to making this look work is the color palette. If there is a theme, the overall look of the living room should work well together. Regardless of whether you look into buying cheap tv units, a second-hand sofa or a brand new pillows, whatever the colour theme is, hopefully, every piece will tie in with each other and produce the vision of a living room that you may have had in mind. In this case, pink is the main focus and everything else works around it.

I also like to add an eclectic mix of design elements to support that trendy vibe. Elsie Larson of A Beautiful Mess really stuck the landing with her use of a blush pink sofa in this dreamy white living room. Blush pink looks great in white rooms. (Some like to call this color Millennial pink). But, what really makes this look amazing is the wood tones and the brass accents. The layout of the room is beautiful and works perfectly. I love the built in shelves, as I think they are a great use of space. As a lover of music and someone who always has some sort of music playing, whether that be the radio or my albums, I can’t help but think they are crying out for some bookshelf speakers. Don’t fear; this doesn’t have to be an expensive job. Many cost under $1000, so they are definitely in budget for many. And for someone like me, they would make all the difference to that room! I think, above all, the contrast between the blush pink and dark green plants keeps this room on-trend. I’m truly in love with this interior and want to move in right now and start lounging on that beautiful sofa!
