I’ve really been enjoying the seafoam green and aqua blue tones that are popping up in the interior design world lately. They’re such refreshing colors that are great for creating a calming sanctuary to soothe frazzled nerves. And, I could definitely use some nerve-soothing these days. You?
This must be why I was so smitten by this floral wallpaper by Red Barrel Studio. The colors are just so beautiful and I would love nothing more than to convert this into a paint color palette for my home. Maybe a coastal style bedroom? I get so many people looking for green bedroom ideas. So, I thought some of you might like this one too.
These are the pieces that I included in the mood board above…

Unfortunately, a room refresh isn’t in the cards for me at the moment. So, I decided to do the next best thing and create a color inspiration post showing you some of my plans. You know how I love sharing color ideas! Here’s what I have in mind.
Ideas for turning this palette into an interior design…
Now, this floral wallpaper is a bit bold. So, I would recommend just using a small amount of it in the space. Maybe a tiny accent wall or you could frame a small piece of it for artwork. I kind of like that idea. Then, I would use an interior color scheme that uses matching colors to the wallpaper.
Starting with the walls, I would go with a chaulky white paint instead of using too much floral print. This will keep the look brighter, more neutral and give you an uncluttered backdrop to show off the decor.
Soft gray wood floors would coordinate well with these colors. I especially like how the gray looks with the celery green color. The natural fiber rug has this color in it along with tiny specs of the seafoam green and aqua blue. It’s a pretty pop of color that would add a touch of warmth to any room.
Finally, we’ve come to the best part of this look. The seafoam green and white bedding! This soft, layered look would be like sleeping on a cloud. I love how it looks refreshing and warm all at the same time.

Now for the paint color scheme…
So, let’s take a closer look at this color palette. It’s a mix of classic coastal colors that would work well in just about any style interior. I can see it working great for farmhouse looks myself. The base of the palette would be a chalky white with accents of ivory, aqua blue, celery green, soft gray, seafoam green and sea glass green. (if you would like to get the paint colors that coordinate with this palette, you can purchase them from my Etsy shop here).
If you want to explore this paint palette in more detail, I have a handy Seafoam Green and Aqua Blue Paint Color Sample Kit that includes samples of all the colors in this collection. It’s over on my Etsy shop, you can check it out here.
