If you’ve followed my blog for a while, I’m sure it’s no surprise that I love using fashion as inspiration for my interiors mood boards. Now, this is a look I’ve always loved. A bright red blazer with a white top and faded boyfriend jeans. With a cute pair of strappy beige heels to complete the outfit. So, the big question is, how would I translate this look into an interior room design?
Well, here’s what I have in mind. Picture a chic dining room with a faded denim blue rug under a warm brown farm house dining table. Well, maybe I should back up a bit and say that the floors under the rug would be a natural maple. With that out of the way, let’s focus on the key pieces of this look. The chairs are going to be a gorgeous bright red spindle style chair that are to die for! I can’t get over how much I love these chairs. To soften the hard surfaces of the room, soft beige pillows and white sheepskin throws will complete the look.
Here are the pieces I used to create this mood board…
1.Spindle Dining Chair | 2. Denim Blue Rug | 3. Natural Maple Flooring | 4. Light Beige Pillow | 5. White Sheepskin | 6. Valerie Dining Table
The paint palette for this design is a gorgeous mix of soft beige, warm brown, crisp white, bright red, faded denim blue and tan beige. So nice!
