The combination of caramel brown reclaimed wood with a smooth white paint is simply stunning. I posted the coordinating Winter Oak color palette for this look yesterday. Today, I thought a finishes mood board would be a good idea. I found the perfect white paint color for this look and an antique barn oak laminate that replicates the reclaimed wood well. Of course, you could use real antique oak if your budget allows. But, I always like to show budget friendly options if the real deal just isn’t in the cards. Ideally, you would add wood shiplap details but, an easier fix would be to use a whitewashed wood-look wallpaper. Whichever you decide, the key to this look is keeping the palette very clean. Just be sure to pop the contrast between the white and caramel wood.
These are the finishes I used to create the ‘Winter Oak’ mood board…
1.Whitewashed Boards Wallpaper | 2. Bisque .01 Paint | 3. Antique Barn Oak Laminate
The paint palette for this look could be used for so many different types of designs and styles.
