There’s just something magical about a pink and tan color combo. Especially when the look has a collection of natural textures to play off of the feminine pink tones. This nicely tan model wearing a pink plaid dress is the perfect example of this. I can think of so many different interior design ideas inspired by this look. You could really play up the pink for a little girls room or just add a tiny accent of the pink for a more grown-up space. I decided to go the grown-up route for today’s look by keeping the pink to a minimum. But, that doesn’t downplay the style one bit. Let me walk you through my plan.
I’m envisioning blonde maple flooring with crisp white walls as the foundation for the room. A tan rug will anchor the seating arrangement which consists of a woven leather bench and white leather pouf. Of course, tan leather would be the color of choice for the bench. Modern chandeliers are incredibly popular right now, so I would definitely want to include one of those. Then, I would finish the look off with a pink plaid pillow to match the dress and a couple cowhide pillows to match the blonde tones in the model’s hair. I found one with a fun, chevron stripe that I absolutely love! This is a fun look I would love to see transformed into a real-life room design. How about you?
These are the pieces I used to create the mood board above…
1. Pink Plaid Dress | 2. White Leather Pouf | 3. Marabella Chandelier | 4. Pink Plaid Pillow | 5. White Pine Flooring | 6. Turner Rug | 7. Chevron Hide Pillow | 8. Collins Leather Bench
It doesn’t get much cuter than this pink plaid dress with white belt and strappy white shoes. It’s such a pretty outfit.
Now, for the best part. Picking out a favorite piece. The plaid pillow is definitely one of my top picks but, I’m going to have to go with the chandelier as my favorite. What about you? Which piece do you like the most?

The color palette for this design is a pretty mix of hot pink, light blonde, warm tan, copper tan and warm black against a crisp white background.
I’m seeing so much of this accent color popping up in the design world lately. Are you a fan of pink room decor?
