I’ve always been a bit hesitant to use purple in my interiors projects. Maybe it’s because I’ve had so many clients veto purple palettes in the past. But, I really do love it, especially as an accent color. So, I like to keep track of the purple color trends and right now we’re looking at a lovely grape tone. Sherwin Williams calls it Mature Grape and it’s part of their Noir palette in the 2017 Colormix. It’s a very versatile hue that works well in traditional designs but is fun enough for modern and eclectic spaces as well. Here are some ways you could add ‘Mature Grape’ to your next interior project…
This color is bold enough for small accents. Add a couple ‘Mature Grape’ pillows to white chairs for an eye-popping effect.
Or, keep the whole room neutral with white and black tones and accent the floor with a bold purple area rug.
‘Mature Grape’ works perfectly on velvet upholstered pieces.
Combine ‘Mature Grape’ with other purple tones in a cream colored bedroom for a pretty, feminine look. A slight peek of wood flooring helps ground the look.
I especially love this color as an accent with light camel browns. Cozy!
If you really want to jazz up the fun, ‘Mature Grape’ as a curly fur upholstery is the way to go!
This grape purple hue can hold it’s own in brightly colored, eclectic spaces. So, don’t be afraid to include it when you’re going bold.
‘Mature Grape’ pairs well with navy blue and white. Use gray as the base to tie it all together.
