I know I promised you this post last week, but my to-do list is really kicking my butt this summer. Can you relate? Anyway, I’m super excited to have a closer look at this modern nursery design with you. The sage green paint color is a great choice for this room. Especially, when paired with the white trim around the window and baseboards.
The crisp white trim contrasts so well with the dark wood floors and adds more of a modern feel to the sage green walls. You may have already noticed, that I’m kind of a modern girl. So, I ramped up the furniture pieces to lean just a tad more in that direction. The color palette remains the same though. So, the inviting coziness will still be there, in spite of these changes.
My favorite pieces in this look are the light taupe upholstered chair, the ikat fabric on the pillow and the red fox plush (Isn’t he just the cutest thing?)
These are the pieces I used to create the modern nursery mood board above…

But I have to say, I also love the phrase on the pillow with the grain sack fabric, “Home is where the mom is”. I couldn’t think of a better statement to display in a nursery. You? Unfortunately, I couldn’t find one exactly like it, but those of you that are crafty could do something custom instead. The rest of the look could be put together with a white garden stool, white table lamp, modern ottoman, marble painting and a white plush rug. Oh, and a lovely striped fabric for the roman shades.

Don’t be afraid to mix things up with the pieces that you select for your own room. Just stick to this gorgeous color palette and your look will be very similar. The sage green color paired with the light taupe, warm gray, dove gray, copper brown, burnt orange and black and white is sure to do the trick.
