If you’re a regular on the blog, it’s probably no surprise that I like getting color inspiration from wedding photography. It makes a lot of sense really. If there’s one day in a person’s life that they really focus on nailing the color scheme, it would be their wedding day. The wedding photographer knows this and takes special effort to capture those beautiful colors in their photographs.
This outdoor wedding shot is the perfect example of this. The pastel color palette in this image is just gorgeous. The heavenly mix of blush pink, dove gray and white in the dresses pairs so well with the soft, sage green of the landscape. The slight touches of black in the ladies hair and grayish-brown in the tree bark completes the combination. I don’t generally gravitate towards pastel color palettes but this one is truly exceptional. It’s a soft and pretty look without looking childish. Thumbs up!

What’s your idea of an ideal wedding palette? Would you go with a pastel look like this one or does something else strike your fancy? I would love to hear your thoughts on this.
