Dark teal and ochre yellow. It’s a great marriage of two color trends that are blowing up right now. They’re two beautiful colors that make a great team. I love how this combination comes together in this rustic interior I found on the Pampa blog. It’s a shot of River Hawk Ranch, the home of designer Kimberly Amos and her family in the Byron area of Australia. We’ll go over the decor of this look in detail next week. But, for now let’s focus on the fantastic color palette that was used.
An olive green flooring is the base of the room with an ochre yellow tribal rug as accent. Dark teal walls make for a beautiful backdrop to show off the accent pieces in this dark room. Then, black and white details are sprinkled in to the look along with russet brown and blond wood. I don’t usually gravitate towards dark rooms, but this one has me weak in the knees. Just wow!
