I woke up this morning with a new idea for the blog. A new category actually that I’m going to call Interior Color Palettes. I’ve been stuck for a while on how to explore the new color palettes that I develop from an interior design perspective. And, I think this solution just might do the trick. My plan is to create a mood board with a paint palette and interiors pieces to correspond with each new color palette that I do. The idea is to help spark some ideas for translating these palettes into custom design looks of your own.
This first Interior Color Palette post is inspired by my Chocolate, Caramel and Cream color palette that I posted yesterday. It’s a pretty white interior with lots of white painted wood. Either as a floor finish, wall finish or possibly a ceiling finish. A combination of warm brown accents will be used in the room ranging from chocolate brown to caramel brown and a light creamy brown. The Butterum color trend is a perfect choice for one of these accents. I chose a multi-hued cowhide rug, chocolate brown ant chairs and a light cream goat fur pillow as options for this look. But, of course you could substitute whatever you like for these. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination. So dream big!
Here are the exact pieces I used to create the Chocolate, Caramel and Cream mood board…
1.Goat Fur Pillow | 2. Cowhide Rug | 3. White Wood Wallpaper | 4. Chocolate Brown Chair
Sometimes, all you want is the paint palette. I understand and aim to please.
