The ‘Colorful Foundations’ look is not just about bold color, it also has a lot of interesting textures going on as well. A dark wood floor with white walls and ceiling gets you the base for your design. Then, layer a multi-colored geometric rug over a natural jute rug. For the furniture, go with natural wood wishbone chairs with woven white seats and an acrylic coffee table. A woven jute pouf will also do nicely for an ottoman or added seating. Finish off the look with a white sheepskin throw and a palm leaf accent pillow. You can find more tropical leaf prints in my Palm Fronds and Banana Leaf Tropical Prints post. Indoor plants also look great in this design if you have the green thumb to pull it off. (I don’t!)
