There’s nothing better than a cozy living room that draws you in and invites you to kick up your feet and stay a while. That’s exactly what I need after a long, hard day. I’m sure we all have a different idea of what this cozy living room would look like. But, for me it would start with white walls and a few bold accent colors to liven things up. In fact, I found this bedroom photo on Pinterest that is the perfect inspiration to build my dream living room from.
So, like I said, we’ll start this look off with white walls. Then, we’ll layer some white sheer curtains for a softer look. A comfy sofa with white slipcovers provides seating in the room. And, a black and white mud cloth pillow with berry pink kilim pillows add some pizzazz to your lounging experience. For the flooring, I’m thinking of a layered look with a natural jute rug and pink oriental rug pattern. Oriental rugs are very on-trend right now and they’re a great way to bring a room to life. A few more details are all that’s needed with a wood beaded chandelier, pink flowers, grain sack fabric, and indigo batik. To finish off the look, I add just a touch of green plants for a complementary accent color.
