I just love the clean lines of a white modern bathroom. But, the problem with a white bathroom is it can come across as very cold and clinical. That’s why it’s so important to add a pop of an accent color in these spaces to soften things up. This design by Veneer Designs is the perfect example of this.
There are a lot of smooth surfaces with all the white marble tile and the large frame less mirror in the room. Add to that the cool tones of the dove gray in the tile and the palette is looking a bit too cold. But, the designer saved the day by cleverly adding a vintage Oushak rug in a golden yellow color with light peach and ochre details. There’s even a touch of chalky white which highlights the texture and pattern in the piece.
Woven baskets and a free standing towel rack are used to display the fluffy striped towels. A globe wall sconce and louvered cabinet design complete the details in this look.
These are the items I used to create the Modern Bathroom mood board above…
1. White Floor Cabinet | 2. Carrara Marble | 3. Vintage Rug
I was so excited when I found one of the vintage rugs that’s almost identical to the one in the Veneer Designs project. Score! It’s a one-of-a-kind piece, so if you want one, you better move fast!
1. Turkish Han Towel | 2. Belly Basket | 3. Globe Wall Sconce | 4. Carrara Marble | 5. Vintage Rug | 6. White Floor Cabinet | 7. Frameless Mirror | 8. Towel Rack
The paint palette of chalky white, light peach, golden yellow, ochre and dove gray is simply gorgeous. This would make a lovely palette to fuel your own custom design ideas.
