You know what this color palette reminds me of? A Dreamsicle! Do you remember those? You know, the orange flavored frozen treats with cream filling. (I might be dating myself here). Do they even make them anymore? I haven’t seen one in a while. But, boy, were they yummy! And, this peach and cream color palette with bright orange accents really captures the essence of that delicious flavor combination.
I can picture this look creating a beautiful farmhouse interior with a light and airy vibe. Imagine rooms with lovely white and cream paint colors paired with a gray brown wood flooring and white marble tile. These finishes would make a beautiful backdrop to showcase the light peach and bright orange decor accents. Add in a touch of brass details and this look really comes to life.
I can’t wait to discuss this interior design more with you. So, let’s get started!

*This mood board is a great starter template to use when putting your interior together. It not only shows the paint color palette, but it also shows some recommended finishes and decor to complete that yummy Peach and Cream look. Of course, you can add in additional materials, textures and patterns for a custom design all your own. But, having the mood board handy when selecting interior items can help you coordinate it all to perfection.
So, let’s explore the basic elements needed to translate this look to an oh-so-dreamy interior design…
Warm Paint Colors in Peach and Cream Tones
It’s always a good idea to start with the color palette when putting an interior design together. Things just go a lot smoother when you have a final palette in mind before working on your design. Even better, create a mood board (that includes your color palette) to refer to whenever you work on your project.
This can keep you on track when all the beautiful decor of the world tries to entice you into choosing them for your home. And, believe me, they can be very persuasive! It can be so easy to get sidetracked when shopping that gorgeous furniture showroom full of fun stuff. This is where your mood board comes in handy. If the color on that tempting throw pillow doesn’t go with your palette, let it down easy and move on with your search.
So, let’s take a glimpse at the warm paint colors that create this peach and cream look. The combination of bright orange, light peach, warm brown, ivory white, bright white, cool white, creamy white, light tan and gray brown create an airy look with a pop of warm accents. It’s an overall soothing effect, yet the bright orange adds an energetic vibe sure to liven up any space.

Gray Brown Wood Flooring
The colors in this palette coordinate nicely with a gray brown wood. The white and cream colors would look especially nice on the walls and trim with a gray brown tone on the floors. You could also consider wood furniture pieces in a matching stain color. Or, use this gorgeous wood on an accent wall instead of on the floor for an entirely different look.
A Vintage Style Ivory Rug with Rust Red Floral Pattern
This is where we start bringing in the pretty, pretty patterns that add character to your room. Find an ivory rug with rust orange accents in it. A vintage style rug would be perfect here! I’m really digging the oriental style floral patterns lately, but you could go a lot of different directions with this. Just stick with the ivory base color and accent colors that coordinate with your color palette. Find any farmhouse rug pattern that you like and go with it!
White Marble Tile in a Chevron Mosaic Pattern
I’m sure you’ve noticed how popular white marble tile is at the moment. It’s become the go-to choice for countertops and backsplashes of late. And, for good reason… it’s awesome! This is a trend I’m a huge fan of too and it’s definitely a good choice for this color palette. The white and gray tones in the marble play nicely with the creams, whites, peaches, browns and oranges in this combination.
Light Peach Decor such as Throw Pillows
Add a touch of softness to this look with light peach accents. Throw pillows of blankets are a great choice for adding this delicate accent color to your rooms. It could also be used as a wall color, in a little girls room perhaps? Or, consider painting a piece of wood furniture in this subtle color somewhere in your home.

Orange Decor such as Decorative Books
Now, we get to that bold orange color in this palette. This is where we add the ‘sizzle’ to your look. Sprinkle some bright orange decor throughout your home with things like decorative books, candles and floral arrangements. If you’re going for a farmhouse look, I would recommend using this color sparingly. But, if you’re a fan of Moroccan style interiors, go bold and saturate the walls in this vibrant color. Glass Globe Pendant Light With Brass Details
This feature reinforces that modern farmhouse style and adds a brass detail to the look. The glass globe creates a touch of elegance in a minimalist, modern sort of way. The cognac brown tone of the brass coordinates perfectly with our color palette and draws your eye to these gorgeous pendant lights. You could also add this brass detail to your home with cabinet pulls, door hardware or plumbing fixtures.
Cognac Brown Velvet Throw Pillow
These velvet throw pillows match beautifully with the cognac brown color of the brass details in the pendant lights. Transform any seating area in your home to a warm and cozy oasis with one of these stylish throws. They pair perfectly with the light peach pillows we talked about earlier and the cream pillows that are coming up next…
Cream Throw Pillows with Soft Orange Stripes
The cream and orange combination in this throw pillow really leans into that Dreamsicle vibe. It’s a subtle, more neutral piece that pairs beautifully with the bolder cognac brown pillow and the playful light peach one. But, the understated pinstripes in this fabric adds a sophisticated pattern that just screams ‘modern farmhouse’.
More About those Yummy Peach and Cream Paint Colors:
We went over the color palette earlier. But, now let’s talk a bit more about where to apply these colors. Of course, there are many different ways you could distribute these throughout your home. Here’s what I have in mind. Start with using one of the white paint colors on the walls and trim. The ivory white, bright white, cool white or creamy white are all good choices. Use the light tan as an alternate wall color in any rooms you want to switch things up a bit. Or, choose the gray brown in any rooms your want more of a moody vibe. Then, work the bright orange, light peach and cognac brown in as an accent throughout the home. Maybe on an interior door or a piece of painted furniture? Anywhere you want to create a bit of contrast to the light tones of this palette.
